The Red Shoes

This collection was inspired by the 1948 British film The Red Shoes, which made me rethink why women have to face the dilemma of career and family. The biggest challenge in this project was how to make the installation, and I chose to work with an architectural designer from the Department of Architecture to make this installation. This process was my first taste of metal cutting and metal welding. Making the installation for the first time was a new experience for me, but it also taught me many things about architecture that I hadn't been involved with before. This has inspired me for my future designs.
